AMMAN 䨥 Global Healthcare Travel Forum (GHTF) that was held in Amman from 25-27 February 2017, witnessed the participation of over 650 participants from 41 countries. The forum witnessed signing several agreements between a number of medical institutions and service providers. Participants at the GHTF discussed several issues regarding the industry, including service quality, centres of excellence, accessibility, new medical tourism patterns and challenges facing the sector.
The Forum also endorsed the "Amman Declaration" that seeks to expand the scope of medical tourism sector in Jordan to eight internationally recognised segments. Known as the Health Travel 8 (HT8), the segments include traditional medical tourism, dental tourism, spa tourism, wellness tourism, sport tourism, culinary tourism, accessible tourism and assisted residential tourism, which serves visitors with diseases or disabilities.

HIS MAJESTY KING ABDULLAH II IBN AL HUSSEIN " organised by the Private Hospitals Association Jordan (PHA) in Amman - Jordan, at Le Royal Hotel
during the period 25th - 27th of February 2017 under the theme "Globalization of Medical Tourism" and we will be holding the GHTC general
assembly meeting on the 27th of February 2017
Medical tourism is a rapidly growing industry and so many countries showed interest and invested heavily to become an international hub for medical
tourism, and because we noticed a lot of developments in this field and we at the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) need to meet with
stakholders from all over the World in an international forum to discuss the prospects and the future of this industry. And to try to unite efforts to
make this industry prosper.
We promise you that this forum will give medical tourism stakeholders from all over the world the opportunity to meet in one place, network and
strengthen the cooperation between different countries who are interested to provide or receive healthcare services.
The forum will provide participants with the opportunity to gain knowledge about the latest innovations and trends in the medical tourism industry
and for this purpose we are inviting internationally renowned experts and opinion leaders and decision makers to address current issues electing
